I know I have been quite inactive the past month, alot of private stuff going on and upcoming exams, but I will try to be more active again from now on. Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Most video rental stores in America have gone extinct and outside specific Red Box Kiosks there aren't a lot of places for consumers to rent video games. The exception, of course, being thr

SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.

Hello BioWare fans,

Zaeed's artwork begins a new spate of the crew members fan arts that I will be gradually revealing. I decided not to let you know who exactly because I do not want to spoil the surprise

. Further artworks will be more subtle, bad ass and emotional as I always try to make my next work better than the last one.

I write to inform that you will be able to see my Mass Effect fan arts in a full glory (yes yes without annoying "art by" tag

) at BioWare's booth during San Diego Comic-Con. Plus I am currently working on a special art which I hope to deliver on time. I would like to encourage you to submit your own works. Let us prove that BioWare has the best fans in the world, let us make sure that BioWare again steals the show !!!!

Your art work is outstanding, it deserves to go to San Diego Comic-Con and be viewed by the world!!!

It also deserves a huge amount of money from BioWare!!

I am just blown away by the quality of your work its like YOU can see the real life characters from Mass Effect.

And I have never I all my years of gaming been so attached to a group of fiction characters as I am with the crew from ME.

The only other game that has me thinking about it this much and listening to the OST on a daily basis is MGS..

Now there is a game you should do some art for (if you havent already) your style would work wonders in the MGS universe!!!!

As I went through your gallery I couldn't help but admire your efforts and all the while waxing more goddamn nostalgic. Your work on Mass Effect is beautiful and emotional. I don't know if you take requests, but if I could risk sounding arrogant and demanding, I have two. Could you depict the scene when Dr. Chakwas drinks on the job with Cmdr. Shepard? I feel like the scene was somehow cheapened a little by the graphics in the game, and I feel that your hands and mind would give that moment justice in its emotional weight. Could you also draw EDI and Joker? I always wished they could have more accessible conversations, they were so interesting to listen to! Thank you very much, I read your interview on blankmind, and it shocked me to hear that you are self-taught; I honestly thought you went to a school. You words and reasons for working your art have inspired me to work harder on my own art, so thank you again for that.
